Information Technology Engineering Department
The Department of Information Technology Engineering at Pyay Technological University (PTU) provides a comprehensive, forward-looking curriculum designed to build expertise in modern computing and software systems.
The program equips students with hands-on technical competencies across software development, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and database management. By combining rigorous theoretical foundations with practical engineering projects, the department prepares future IT professionals to engineer scalable solutions, adapt to rapidly evolving technologies, and drive digital innovation across global industries.
Background History
The department of Information Technology was established in 2001. Pyay GTC was inaugurated into PTU in 2006.
Our IT department offered the degree of AGTI, B-Tech and BE and supported the excursion field about job and other theory, lab, practical and workshop.
Master of Engineering, ME(IT) was offered from 2009 to 2010. Moreover, our department made research about field, project, thesis with enough teachers and teaching aids.
Quality Objectives of IT Department
- To attain at least 70% in student’s satisfaction on
teaching of teacher’s from IT department in 2018-2019 academic year - To attain at least 70% in student’s pass rate
